What is business process automation?
It is software doing the repeat office jobs a person does today. An enquiry becomes a job. A won quote becomes an invoice. A late payment gets a reminder. Nobody presses a button. It is admin work, so no factory controls or PLCs.
Can you give me an example of business automation?
A customer fills in your website form at 9:02. By 9:03 the job is in your job system, the customer has a text back, and the right person has been told. If the quote sits for two days, the follow-up sends itself. The same idea covers invoices, payment reminders, bookings and the weekly report.
How much does business automation cost?
From $2,500 for a focused set of workflows. A full build across several systems runs to $12,000+. There is a monthly option for ongoing changes and monitoring. You get a fixed price on the audit call. Our automation cost guide shows the sum to do first.
How do I know if automation is worth it for my business?
Count the hours your team spends on repeat jobs in one week. Multiply by what an hour costs you, then by 52. If a job happens more than five times a week, automate it. If your total is under about ten hours a week, fix the process by hand first.
Which tools do you use: Zapier, Make or n8n?
All three, plus custom API connections when volume or error handling calls for it. Zapier suits simple links between popular apps. Make handles longer workflows with more control over the data. n8n suits self-hosted or heavily customised work. We pick per job. Our Zapier, Make and n8n comparison has the detail.
Will it work with Xero, MYOB and the software we already run?
Yes. We work with Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks, HubSpot, Pipedrive, ServiceM8, simPRO, Cliniko, Square, Shopify and Stripe. If your software has an API, we can almost always connect it. If it does not, we tell you. The pairs we build most often are priced on the integrations page.
How long does it take?
Most automation work is live in two to four weeks. We start with the job costing you the most hours, so the first piece is usually running in week one.
What happens when an automation breaks?
We build the bad days in from the start: a duplicate, a timeout, a missing field. Alerts go to us as well as you, so we find the fault before you report it. The workflows run in your accounts, so they keep running if you cancel our support.
Is this the same as AI training for my team?
No. Automation is software doing the work with no person involved. If you want your team to get better at ChatGPT and Copilot for the work that still needs a human, that is our separate AI training service.
