Web apps and customer portals, built in Albury Wodonga

We build web apps your customers book and pay through.

Each booking, payment and account change that needs a phone call costs you a person. We build web apps and customer portals that let people do it themselves, with the payments and your business systems wired in. You get a fixed price before we start.

Start with a free audit. Give us your website and we look at how customers book and pay you today, then map what an app would take off your team.

The call takes thirty minutes. You get a scope and a fixed price before anything is built.

What it looks like at Chargeroo.

Chargeroo needed a whole platform, built from zero: a public site, a station finder, a venue partner portal, rental tracking, Stripe payments and an AI support line. We built each piece and joined them into one system. A customer scans a QR code and has a power bank in under a minute. Venues log in to their own numbers. One dashboard runs the network.

What we build, in one list.

We start with the job your app has to do. Screens come later.

Booking and scheduling

  • Customers see live availability and book a time themselves
  • The booking writes to your calendar and your job system
  • They move or cancel it in the portal, with no call to your team

Payments

  • Stripe, Tyro and Square, wired in early because that is where the surprises live
  • Deposits held and refunded by the system
  • Each payment posted to your accounts through systems integration

Customer and partner portals

  • Your customers log in to see their account, files and invoices
  • Partners and venues get their own login and their own numbers

Dashboards and admin

  • One screen to run the whole thing: users, bookings, money and reports
  • Need the staff side only? That is custom software

AI features

  • A voice or chat assistant that answers customers at any hour and emails you a summary
  • Passed to a person only when it has to be

POS and after launch

  • POS systems set up and joined to bookings and payments
  • Hosting and support if you want them. Both optional, both cancellable

Wired into what you already run.

  • Stripe
  • Square
  • Xero
  • MYOB
  • Shopify

What moves the price of an app.

Three things set most of the cost. Almost all the rest costs less than people expect.

How many kinds of user

A customer, a staff member and a partner each need their own screens and their own rules. Each kind adds work.

Whether money moves through it

Payments mean deposits, refunds, failed cards and receipts. We wire them in weeks two to three, so a surprise shows up early.

How many systems it talks to

Your calendar, your accounts, your POS. Each join has to handle a bad day, and that takes longer than the happy path.

How a build runs, week by week.

A focused application is usually six to eight weeks. A full platform runs eight to fourteen. You get the timeline before we start.

Week 1

What it has to do

What the app must get done. Who touches it. What it connects to. What happens when something goes wrong. Most of the cost of a bad build gets decided this week.

Every step above is work you can check. Ask any developer to show you the same list before you sign.

Who this is for, and who it is not.

An app is only worth building if people find you first. Most of what we build sits behind a website, and the website decides who ever reaches it.

You are in the right place if

  • Customers ring you to book, pay or check on something
  • You take bookings by phone and copy them into a calendar
  • Partners, venues or clients need their own login
  • The idea needs payments and no product does it your way

You want a different page if

  • Nobody lands on your site yet. An app will not fix that. See web design and SEO
  • A product off the shelf covers most of it. Buy that. We will say so on the call
  • Only your staff will use it. That is custom software
  • You ONLY need two tools joined. That is systems integration

We recently used Automatrix to re-build our website. The new site is great with a simple admin panel that has everything we need when updating our site. The SEO/AEO is really performing as well. The guys are always Helpful when we need them and are always on the front foot with updates etc.

Not getting your website AI ready is going to be the same as forgetting to renew your Yellow Pages spot back in the 80s. One month after launching we can already see a big improvement in traffic and enquiries through search.

Questions about app development.

We work from Albury Wodonga with businesses across regional NSW and Victoria, and Australia-wide. See Albury, Wodonga or your industry.

How much does it cost to build an app?

From $9,000 for a focused build. A full platform with payments, portals and several kinds of user runs to $25,000+. You get a fixed figure on your audit call, and it only moves if you change the scope in writing.

What moves the price of an app?

Three things. How many kinds of user there are. Whether money moves through it. How many systems it has to talk to. Almost all the rest costs less than people expect.

How long does it take?

Six to eight weeks for a focused application. Eight to fourteen for a full platform with payments, several kinds of user and outside integrations. You get the date before we start.

Do you build iPhone and Android apps?

Most of what we build is a web app. It runs in the browser on any phone, with no app store and no download. Most booking, payment and portal jobs do not need a native app. If yours does, tell us on the call and we will scope it.

Can it take payments?

Yes. We build with Stripe, Tyro and Square. Chargeroo takes rental payments through Stripe across 45+ venues. It holds a deposit, then refunds it when the power bank comes back, with nobody involved.

Who owns the code when it is finished?

You do, in full. You get the code and the accounts. Host it where you like, and hand it to another developer at any point.

What does it cost to run after launch?

Hosting and support are optional, and you can cancel them. Ask for both figures on the audit call, so you see the running cost before you agree to the build.

Should I buy a booking tool or build my own?

If a product off the shelf covers most of the job, buy it. We say so on the call. Build when the booking has to trigger things a product cannot do: release hardware, split a payment, or write to the system you already run.

Get your free app audit.

We look at how customers book, pay and contact you today, then go through it with you on a 30 minute call. You get what the app has to do, who uses it, what it connects to, a timeline and a fixed price. The audit is yours to keep, whether or not you use us.

What you get before you pay us anything

  1. What the app has to do. Written as jobs, not screens.
  2. Who uses it. Each kind of user and what they need.
  3. What it connects to. Payments, calendar, accounts, POS.
  4. A timeline. With the launch date.
  5. A fixed price. And a straight answer if it is bigger than it needs to be.
